Dear Friends and Family of Every Kid Counts, Inc.

WOW! It is hard to believe that what seems like not so long ago, Gordon & Kay LeBlanc and I filled out and filed the paper work to incorporate Every Kid Counts, Inc. March 24, 1994, along with the other co-founders Mike Gibson (a GM from Sam’s Club 6607), Ken Peterson (a GM from the Peoria Wal-Mart store), Calvin Schexnayder and Shedrick Bonner (members of the 1994 World Champion Arizona Rattlers) as well as the Rattlers Organization as a whole EKC was established and off and running 15 years ago. WOW!

Reaching this milestone could not have been possible if it were not for the many contributors, family members and volunteers such as you. You have supported EKC’s efforts to help tens of thousands of children in Arizona, California and Florida that we have had the honor and privilege to support all these years. Though many have come and gone, many of you have remained and all I can say is Thank You and on behalf of the founders and the kids we serve, you are awesome and we appreciate you for all your generosity and support.

As we celebrate our success and learn from our challenges I look back only for this short moment because what lies ahead is a brighter future for of us and our mission of serving “Today’s Youth” is to insure that they have all the opportunities we and others like us can give them to help them become “Tomorrow’s Leaders”. Yes, I understand that the economic times are tough, however, we are Americans that have built our country with the support of one another and a positive outlook. We will overcome today’s challenges together and help the kids that need us the most.

I want to share the words of our new chairman Stacy Gielda, who’s entire family were so thrilled to come out and volunteer their time at the Chicks with Picks concert this past Saturday. While looking back at everyone in our booth he said: “This is so awesome to see how much fun my family and yours along with all the volunteers are having, knowing that their time and efforts have been and continue to help others less fortunate. It puts a new perspective on life during these challenging times.”

God Bless you for believing in our cause and for all that you have done to Help Us Help The Kids, whether directly or indirectly. We look forward to your continued support and so do our partners; Children’s First Academy, Phoenix Children’s Hospital and all the organizations we have had the privilege of working with over these past 15 years. THANK YOU!!!!
