The Children In Need

Annual Back to School Drive:
In 1999, EKC intern Scott Harkey began collecting School supplies for the Thomas J Pappas School. In 2000, EKC board, its partners and volunteers adopted the “Stuff The Pack Program” to help generate the much needed school supplies for the kids at TJP. This program is an easy and cost efficient program that continues to provide underprivileged kids with the tools to succeed in their academics and personal lives. Estimated Costs $10,000.00

Phoenix Children’s Hospital Hard Ship Fund – Partnership:
EKC/PCH Hardship program was developed in conjunction with Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation to help families during hard times while the child is undergoing treatment for their disease as it did Michael’s Family during his final months. The Michael J Arias Champions Program is structured around the EKC Private Label Water program. Over the years this program has raised tens of thousands of dollars to support the Hardship program and many other nonprofit fundraising programs. Estimated Costs $10,000.00

Annual Season of Giving Toy Drive and Holliday Programs:
Since 1998 EKC and its valued partners have been providing hope for the holidays to thousands of kids during the holidays. Estimated Costs $30,000.00

Camp Sunrise Cancer Camp Support Program:
Since 1998 EKC has been providing, and will continue providing, Camp Sunrise with snacks and supplies for the kids. Camp Sunrise provides the opportunity for pediatric cancer patients and their siblings the opportunity to participate in a week long camp east of Payson Arizona. Estimated Costs $5,000.00

Peer Mentoring and Leadership Programs:
Leadership Through Baseball – This year long program, though it affects those more fortunate and is funded by their parents, has a profound effect on the kids who participate through a leadership character building program that was designed to enhance our Peer Mentoring Program. The ballplayers collect donated items and raise funds to support their program and their community service outreach events. Estimated Costs $15,000.00

High School Bass Fishing Program – Encouraging Environmental Education and Volunteerism via the Sport of Bass Fishing where high school students not only compete against each other, they also teach elementary students to fish, an activity many of those students would not normally be able to have access to.  This also is a part of our Peer Mentoring Program. Estimated Costs $10,000.00
