BASEBALL PROGRAM

LEADERSHIP THROUGH BASEBALL is a one-of-a-kind program for young men, specifically members of the EKC Thunder 14U Baseball Team that emphasizes the development of sound character, growth in leadership skills and the requirement of team-oriented, philanthropic duties to serve our local community. This program is under the guidance and direction of former San Francisco Giant Outfielder, Dax Jones whose lifelong mission is to not only enhance the lives of each ball player he works with but to develop and nurture local support to assist others in need within our community.

EKC THUNDER PARTNERSHIP On August 13th, 2009 the EKC Thunder Baseball organization teamed up in an exclusive community partnership with Every Kid Counts, Inc. The EKC is a non-profit children's charity, dedicated to improving the lives of our community youth through educational, athletic and philanthropic programs and events. Throughout the season, the EKC Thunder Team serves our local community to make a difference in the lives of others through events including: food, clothing and sporting goods drives, car washes, bowl-a-thons, etc. Another benefit of this unique partnership is experiencing the joy of witnessing our players become leaders among their peers and mentors to those that need guidance. Our young men are growing in character, developing compassion and lending a helping hand. Today's Youth = Tomorrows Leaders.

EVERY KID COUNTS Children's Charity Inc. is celebrating 15 years of helping children in need. EKC is dedicated to bringing hearts together to help provide programs that help today's youth become tomorrows leaders through educational, athletic and philanthropic programs.
