After School & Sports Programs:

Projected Budget: $120,000

Provide an opportunity for students to participate in an intramural and self-esteem building programs that will utilize their free-time and stimulate their physical well-being. While at the same time, we can eliminate the potential problems that are normally attributed to lack of involvement.

Provide funding and support to develop and/or maintain After School Activities

Activities include intramural sports, home-economics, counseling programs, tutoring, band, choir, fishing program, etc.

Support various sports programs

Support existing programs for both girls and boys and also create a baseball program, which is a high priority for CESD.

Promote and encourage good sportsmanship and character development through Sports Leadership Programs. (Including our current “Leadership Through Baseball Program”)

Continue our efforts through our Leadership through Baseball program to expand and enhance the lives of the kids at CESD. We will accomplish this through the volunteerism of the youth and their parents associated with the EKC Thunder baseball program, NFL and MLB alumni chapter members’ participation.

Provide equipment to under funded sports programs.

Through our resources, EKC and its volunteers, business partners, will continue to provide quality equipment to support under funded leagues and programs.

Refurbish athletic fields and school facilities where and when needed.

Continuing with our time honored tradition of bringing people and resources together to refurbish sports fields to ensure the kids have a safe environment to perform.

Promote goodwill youth sporting events locally, Statewide, Nationally and Internationally.

Building programs to allow the kids to experience and participate in events/activities that are multi-cultural in nature.

Development of Summer Sports and Activity Camps

EKC has been engaged in developing a camp to engage and teach kids athletic and character skills in football, baseball, softball, volleyball and basketball.
